CIO Business Congress 2011
20-22 July 2011
Goa, India
The role of the CIO has changed dramatically during the past decade. In fact, while the jobs of other senior executives have been relatively defined for some time, CIOs have witnessed dramatic regulatory, security and business model changes that have turned their jobs upside down. If a decade ago, the CIOs job was to dutifully manage IT budgets and oversee the release of new technologies, the CIO of today is a full-fledged member of that executive staff engaged in critical business strategy decisions. The 2011 edition of CIO Business Congress featured a program that recognized the need for CIOs to manage their departments as free standing businesses and provide hard-nosed, actionable advice that executives urgently require.
The CIO Business Congress (CBC) agenda also recognized that an exploding number of choices and the growing complexity of technology assets are making companies victims of their rapidly obsolescing computing infrastructure. To stay ahead of competition, it is imperative that companies deconstruct their IT infrastructure, embrace new and evolving paradigms, and put their enterprise on the path to massive IT transformation.
In its second edition, CBC established itself as India's only event bringing together pre-qualified, proactive buyers from all over India and the world's premium IT vendors and solution providers to meet one-on-one, exchange business terms and seal deals through a special, unrivaled system that includes pre-scheduled appointments and networking opportunities, all over a focused three day period.
A strictly by-invitation event, CBC 2011 was attended by India's most proactive CIOs from large enterprises. This exclusive technology congress was held July 20-22, 2011, at the Mediterranean-style 5 star resort facilities of Taj Exotica in Goa, India. CIO Business Congress 2010
22-24 July, 2010
Goa, India
Beginning 2010, CIOs were expected to make technology an integral part of their organization's strategy and not just an offshoot of the business. No more cost centers, think profit centers. The mantra was to focus on revenues and customer-orientation. At CIO Business Congress, we understood while this may be the overarching mandate for CIOs from across industry verticals, the winds of change sweeping IT department's in one industry can be significantly different from another. For this very reason, we created a bespoke event with specific focus on these industry verticals - BFSI, Telecom and Healthcare.
A direct result of the overwhelming success of two editions of Saltmarch Media's Business Technology Summit - Executive Edition, CIO Business Congress (CBC) is a unique event that gathers senior executives, VPs and industry thought leaders to discuss IT issues, solutions and best practices. CBC 2010 was packed with one-on-one business meetings, engaging keynotes, interactive workshop sessions and power panel discussions. Topics were carefully chosen by IT end-users and CIOs in consultation with Saltmarch Media, in order to best identify and address issues being faced by leaders in the chosen industry segments.
CBC brings together pre-qualified, proactive VIP delegates from all over India and the world's premium IT vendors and solution providers to meet one-on-one, exchange business terms and seal deals through a special, unrivaled system that includes pre-scheduled appointments and networking opportunities, all over a focused three day period.
In 2010, the exclusive technology congress was held July 22-24, 2010, at the luxurious 5-star beach resort facilities of The Leela Kempinski in Goa, India. Subscribe to the CIO Business Congress newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest summit news.
